Welshpool Town Council are delighted to announce the following events:

Sunday 25th June 2023 – Welshpool Town Carnival

Parade through the town 12 noon, on a rolling road closure, from Berriew Street Car Park to Maesydre via the High Street, Union Street and round the one-way system through Church Street and down Severn Street into Howell Drive.

Stalls, refreshments, and entertainment from 12 noon – 7 p.m. Carnival officially opened on the field about 1.30 p.m.

Continental Market – The High Street will be closed to traffic from the crossroads up to Jehu Road from 6 p.m. on Thursday 29th June until 9 p.m. Sunday 2nd July 2023.

Whilst the road closure is in place, Market Place Europe will be able to accommodate residents of Broad Street/High Street, but ask that residents make sure the market manager walks them thorough the ‘red route’ as banksman, to ensure they have clear passage and that pedestrians are not at risk.

Local High Street residents will be informed as will the residents of New Street.

40-50 Stalls are coming to Welshpool, with the Town Council working in partnership with Market Place Europe, to bring this event to the town where it is hoped that thousands of visitors will attend. Market Place Europe is one of the biggest providers of speciality markets and we are pleased to have them in Welshpool.

Saturday 19th August 2023

Queen Tribute in Welshpool Town Hall. Tickets now on sale.

There are many other local events on too and we are sure that you will agree that bringing the town to life and encouraging footfall in the town centre can only help the vibrancy of the town.
