Next week in the Hub Thursday 16th May 10am – 2pm
We are very lucky that Advicelink Cymru/ Citizens Advice Powys have decided to use us as their trial Outreach Hub for Welshpool. Please see message below:
“We are pleased to hold our first drop-in session at the Hub in Welshpool Town Hall, on Thursday 16th May from 10am to 2pm.
At these sessions you will be able to speak to a Citizens Advice Powys staff member who will be able to take details of your issue, see how we could help, and refer you for a more in depth appointment or signpost you to the correct organisation if needed. If you already have a case open with us, you will be able to sign forms and bring in paperwork.
We hope that these in person drop-in sessions will make us more accessible to everyone across Powys. We are trialling the sessions at the moment so the days and times may change”
We have also got Pauline, Community Connector from PAVO and Elizabeth Holloway PAVO Powys Befriending Service – Gwasanaeth Cyfeillio Powys in support of ‘Dementia Action Week 2024’
We have also got Amanda from Severn Wye with free confidential support for households in Powys.
If you have any questions or issues please pop in and have a cup of tea and a biscuit and speak to them.
The Assembly Room is accessible with a lift (keep your finger on the button) and toilets (right next to the Assembly Room)
We have some ladies hygiene items donated by Morrisons as part of stopping period poverty. (Thank you Deb)
We are collecting stamps for Welshpool Parkinson’s, there is a box in The Hub for it.
We will have our informal drop in’s coming in as usual including the local police and DWP and Sue is doing Knit and Knatter, Pass It On book library, clothes rail
Please note at the end of April we have gone to Thursdays only 10am – 2pm. Which sadly means no jacket potatoes but we will still do light refreshments including toasties.
