Friday the 10th of November. As part of Welshpool Remembrance, Welshpool Town Council working with the Royal British Legion (Welshpool branch) each year holds a ceremony at the memorial gardens located at Howell Drive, Welshpool The service begins at 2:00 pm and is likely to finish by approx. 2:30 pm.
Saturday 11th of November at 11 a.m. a two-minute silence and the reciting of the Exhortation and the Kohima Epitaph will be held outside the Town Hall in Welshpool.
Sunday 12th November, we have our Remembrance parade and Church service. Members/groups in the parade are meeting at the Town Hall from 10:15 am, where they will then move over to Park Lane entrance and form the parade ready to march to St Mary’s Church. The parade will start at approximately 10:40 am to arrive at St Mary’s at 10:55 am and be seated ready for the service at 11:00 am. After the service, members will form outside the Inglenook Cafe and parade back to the Corn Exchange, Welshpool Town Hall, where refreshments will be served.
The High Street will be closed for approx 8 minutes between 10.58am and 11.07am on the zebra crossing on Saturday 11th November.
Rolling road closures will be in place in the Town Centre on on Sunday 12th November between 10.40am and 11am and 12pm -12.15pm
