WELSHPOOL TOWN COUNCIL COMMITTEES

The Town Council has Committees to look at the detail of the Councils work covering the extensive activity of the Council.
The Committees are listed here for 2017.

Town Clerk's  Committee

This Committee covers strategy, budgets, taking over new services and Trust Management.

Finance and General Purposes Committee

This Committee covers financial scrutiny, staffing, establishment and General Matters (ie Powys, Welsh Government etc)

Planning and Development Committee

This Committee covers planning applications, Local Development Plans, Place Plans, Town Plans, Transport and other related matters.

Council Services Committee

This Committee covers the delivery of all Council Services except Tourism and Care.

Care Committee

This Committee covers the Day Centre, Meals on Wheels and all matters relating to care.

Events and tourism Committee

This Committee covers the Tourist Information Centre, Tourism, Events and Communications (Web Site, Newsletter, Social Media etc)

Archives Committee

This Committee covers the custody of the Councils records, documents and artifacts.

Market Traders Committee

This Committee is a liaison between the Market Traders and the Council.

Remit and Authority

All Committees have a remit which requires them to make recommendations to Full Council before action is taken. The exception is the planning application consultations which are dealt with by the Planning and Development Committee in full.
